Teacher Scholarships
Summer Intensive
Each year the SWCCA offers two teacher scholarships to attend the Cecchetti Council of America International Summer Intensive. One scholarship is awarded to teachers who have passed Teacher Grades I-IV and one to those who have achieved the professional levels Elementary to Diploma. Pending the financial report for the year the scholarship awards vary from $500 to full tuition and room and board.
To qualify for consideration teachers fill out an application due by the end of the annual spring seminar. The essay is an explanation of why and what qualifies the individual to be awarded a scholarship.
An appointed committee chooses the winners. Applicants will be informed one week from the application due date if they are the recipient of the scholarship.
Additionally, the Cecchetti Council of America offers scholarships that we encourage our members to apply for.
